IMWAYR, It's Monday What Are You Reading?, Reading, Weekly Meme, Monday, Meme, Books, Book Group, Online Book Group, Book Journey, Blog A Book Etc

Yet another Monday has rolled around and my book list is still epically massive! Thanks to Sheila over at Book Journey all of us book lovers/geeks come together on this gloriously tiring day and share what we have read, plan to read etc. So whilst I am finishing my second to last night shift of the week and heading to bed with a nice cuppa and a couple of pages before I drift into the land of nod I thought I would share what I have been up to.

I just LOVE Liane Moriarty’s writing so I am very much looking forward to this one. Although not looking forward to carrying it as it is a hefty hardback! May have to look into a Kindle version :(

IMWAYR, It's Monday What Are You Reading?, Reading, Weekly Meme, Monday, Meme, Books, Book Group, Online Book Group, Book Journey, Blog A Book Etc

This week my reading schedule has been a little crazy and when I say that I mean from 0 to 60 within nano seconds. Throughout a nasty bout of acute tonsillitis I have found it hard to stay awake, concentrate and generally just function so reading has been quite a challenge. My DVD collection however has most definitely taken a bash as it is a lot easier to just fall asleep with a movie on.

That being said I have made good progress with the book I am currently reading.

Currently Reading

The Mill River Redemption, Darcie Chan, Fiction, Reading, Books, Little Brown Books UK, Sphere Publishing, Blog A Book Etc

When I started this book my initial thoughts were not great but now that I am into it things have most definitely changed.

Struggling

Our Tragic Universe, Scarlett Thomas, Books, Reading, Fiction, Canongate, Blog A Book Etc

This is one book that I wanted to love but some things just are not meant to be! Well at least not yet!
This book has been shelved for a while.

Still Unsure

Bridget Jones, Helen Fielding, Books, Reviews, Reading, Fiction, Chick Lit, Blog A Book Etc

This book did not start off well for me – having watched a couple of the films and not read any of the books I think I need to start from the beginning. What a shame!

What Next?

What I Had Before You, Novel, Sarah Cornwell, Reading, Books, Blog A Book Etc, Fiction

Adultery, Paulo Coelho, Reading, Fiction, Books, Blog A Book Etc

Little Lies, Liane Moriarty, Big Little Lies, Penguin, Random House, Michael Joseph Books, Reading, Fiction, Hardback, Blog A Book Etc

John & George The Dog who Changed my Life, John Dolan, Books, Reading, Hardback, Non Fiction, Blog A Book Etc

One of the above two but I am not sure which once may get chosen.

What are you reading?

IMWAYR

This wonderful meme is the brainchild of Sheila from Book Journey. Sadly due to work commitments I do not partake as much as I would like. However my toe is dipped in the water enough to be classified as lukewarm!

This week there has not been much reading going on over a Blog A Book however I am aiming to catch up with myself – after the steak dinner and glass of red my friend will imminently provide.

So the nitty-gritty . . .

Currently Reading

Our Tragic Universe, Scarlett Thomas, Books, Reading, Fiction, Canongate, Blog A Book Etc

This book is surprisingly difficult to get into and my feelings towards it at the moment are far from positive. However thinking back to The End of Mr Y – I will stick with it for another 50 pages and see how I go.

Finished Reading

For Once in My Life, Marianne Kavanagh, Books, Reading, Review, Fiction, Relationships, Blog A Book Etc

All I need to say here is Marianne Kavanagh is a great writer and just all out lovely person. Her book was enjoyable as you can read HERE and she is just so sweet which you can see HERE.

How is your Monday going so far?

IMWAYR, It's Monday What Are You Reading?, Books, Reading, Book Blog, Blog A Book Etc

Many Monday’s have passed with lots of goings on including reading, writing and just general life. However I have missed out on the weekly meme to update you lovely people on my not so exciting life. So here goes!

Currently Reading

For Once in My Life, Marianne Kavanagh, Reading, Books, Fiction, Chick Lit, Blog A Book Etc

This is one book that I have picked up and put down quite a lot. However that is only due to lack of time, the writing style is fun and fancy free which means you can dip in and out without losing track of the story line. The copy that I have looks like a large print book however it is just quite a big page size – which I love.

On Friday I posted a list of books that I hope to finish in August and For Once in My Life is one of the three. Looks like I better get a move on.

Next to Read

Our Tragic Universe, Scarlett Thomas, Books, Blogging, Reading, The End of Mr Y

Already a fan of Scarlett Thomas from reading The End of Mr Y many years ago this book has been on my list for quite some time and I will finally get around to it after my current read.

Finished Reading

The Unfinished Symphony of You & Me, Lucy Robinson, Books, Reading, Fiction, Chick Lit, Blogging

This book was a great read. My review has been posted HERE.
