WISH LIST: George for ASDA

After trawling the net for new summer clothes I came across the summer collection from George for ASDA. Each item is an absolute bargain and can be mixed and matched with an abundance of accessories and shoes. Check out a few of my faves…

Summer, George, ASDA, Clothes, Fashion, Dress, Skirt, Top, Seaside Print, Shoes, Pumps, Ballet Pumps, Sandals, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

How gorgeous is that seaside print dress right! There are so many more on there to choose from but that one really did catch my eye and for only £20 it seems like it would be wrong not to!

Summer, George, ASDA, Clothes, Fashion, Dress, Skirt, Top, Seaside Print, Shoes, Pumps, Ballet Pumps, Sandals, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

My absolute favourite of the bunch are the Cut Out Floral Brogues on the top right. At £12 a pair it is an absolute steal and may even be worth getting a second pair however that would put paid to my thoughts of buying all of the other pairs!

George for ASDA really have upped their game as you can see and there is much more to come. Check out the website HERE to find your future summer clothes!

What would you buy?

WISH LIST: Ipanema Spring Footwear

Ipanema, London, Flip Flops, Sandals, Shoes, Footwear

Not that I live in a country that can say that flip-flops and sandals are the shoes used most. However in the house, at the gym and at certain times of year they are the best thing ever. Especially when I am lucky enough to escape the wind and rain for sunny beaches and poolside bars. On my most recent holiday I was impressed with my packing skills as on the footwear side of things I packed only two pairs of flip flops and a pair of trainers – good right?!

Ipanema, Flip Flops, Sandals, Shoes, Footwear, Jazz

Brazil is one place on earth that is renowned for its love for colour, beauty and life. Ipanema is a brand that produces not only aesthetically pleasing footwear but a brand that helps preserves the planet. They mix beauty with honesty and what can be bad about that?!

Ipanema, Flip Flops, Sandals, Shoes, Footwear, Switch Straps

With a keen eye for helping the environment Ipanema refuse to use rubber from the precious Amazon rainforest of which Brazil have a 60% share of the vast 2.1 million square miles of plush land. Instead all materials are made of 100% recyclable PVC which can be recycled many times over in effect reducing the carbon footprint of the company. Their ethics are as outstanding as their style and flare for design.

Knowing the companies principles makes it a lot easier to make a wish list of beautiful items. Not only will I have comfort but peace of mind. There are many ethically challenged brands around and this is most certainly not one of them.

Ipanema, Flip Flops, Sandals, Shoes, Footwear, Lovely III

Ipanemas positivity does not end there. The footwear is produced in local north Brazilian factories which provides support for the local economy and its people providing health care and educational opportunities to bare further fruit for country as a whole. Around the world there are factories in which some brands still use child labour however working with the Brazilian government the law of not employing those under the age of 16 is strictly adhered to.

Ipanema, Flip Flops, Sandals, Shoes, Footwear, Pretty Owl

Check out the easy to navigate website and grab yourself a couple of these affordable, stylish flip flops and sandals. From £13 to £30 there is a great selection to choose from. You know you want to! And just in time for Spring time check out my two favourite pairs below . . .

Books, Reading, It's Monday What Are You Reading?, #IMWAYR,

It’s Monday peeps! How was your weekend?
From friends birthday celebrations to maximum relaxation my weekend was great.

Let’s get on with it!

Russell & Bromley, Boots, Shoes, Fashion, Winter,

These beauties have been on my list for quite some time. If you fancy a pair get them HERE.

Ray Bans, Scarf, Zara, Accessories, Winter, Fashion, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

On the odd day that I had off and managed to get around Central I chose to wrap up warm but take my sunnies as there were some stray rays about. Contact lenses at the ready and I was away!

MAC, Gently Off Eye & Lip Make Up Remover, Make Up Remover, Eye Make Up Remover, Lip Make Up Remover, Make Up, Beauty, Cosmetics, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

This product is one of the staples in my collection of cosmetics and cleansers. It is so gentle on the skin and leaves no dryness post application. It has had a little more air time than usual as I have been donning the darker shades of lipstick and need to remove them so I don’t end up with unsightly staining. You can grab a bottle HERE.

NARS, Audacious Lip Collection, Bette, Lip Stick, Satin, Red, Autumn, Winter, Beauty, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Speaking of the darker shades this beauty is from the NARS Audacious Lip Collection, it was also my first step onto the NARS bandwagon that I am finding increasingly difficult to get off. Their colours are just so gorgeous!

Movies, Dumb & Dumber To, Dumb & Dumber 2, Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Comedy, Cinema, Movies, Entertainment, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Not as funny as the first movie – but that is only my opinion. Still hilarious however!

The Flash, Superhero, TV Series, TV, DC, DC Comics, Comics, The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper, Barry Allen, Fastest Man Alive, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

After watching the first episode on Sky 1 I am absolutely hooked and find myself linking up to the states just to get my hit every week. Most definitely worth the watch especially if you like superheros! Geeking out over here and having far to many fangirl moments – well more than I would like to admit anyway :)

Captivated by You, Sylvia Day, Books, Reading, Sex, Mummy Porn, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Yet another triumph from Sylvia Day – check out my review HERE

the snow globe, sheila roberts, books, reading, blog a book etc, fay, blog tour, fiction, christmas, festive

A bit of a slow starter – that is all I can say for now.
Look out for the review on Wednesday 3rd December.

Currently Reading

Foxglove Summer, Ben Aaronovitch, Fiction, Books, Reading, London, Rivers of London, The Folly

Ben Aaronovitch’s writing style is truly stellar and the series of books starting with Rivers of London are spectacular.
I was one happy reader when this one was sent through. Check out his books either on Amazon or The Folly.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be busy with events and getting ready for Christmas of course. This year I plan to be a lot more organised than last but who knows what will happen. My book selection might also change (only slightly) to those more on the academic side as I am studying for something important.

What have you been up to this week?

It's Monday but it's ok

It’s Monday What Are You . . .

A Winter Flame by Milly Johnson

So far so good and almost finished so the review will be up ASAP! Just keep checking back.

Reading Next

What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty

Coco's Secret by Niamh Greene

I am looking forward to reading both of these books. Have you read either of them?

What are you reading?

jordans 1st pair

After returning from the US with this truly AWESOME pair of Jordan’s they are all I want to wear. Sadly they do not go with everything and I don’t want to wear them out quickly so they do go back in the box every now and then!

If you have Jordan’s – How do you wear yours? If you don’t buy some because they are über comfortable!

Skin Care

Ginger wake up shower gel

This delectable bathroom goody has made me want more than the regular three showers a day (it may seem excessive to some but oh well!). Have you tried it?

Hair Care

These bad boys have not only tamed my locks but also kept away the split ends and made my hair feel sleek. Very happy at the moment!

Listening to . . .

This is the clean version of the tune as I thought it was only appropriate for the blog. However if you would like to watch the original then please do find it on You Tube!
I listen to a variety of music but this song right now has made a regular recurrence on my playlist. What is on yours?

This show is highly addictive and there is something that I cannot identify about Benedict Cumberbatch that is just so HOT!

How is your Monday panning out?

Do let me know :Dmonday love!

Winter is coming . . .

That is not only the words of the House of Stark from Game of Thrones – it is reality. It is getting colder as the days go by and the time has come to wrap up warm and protect ourselves against the elements. These are just some of the things that I am loving right now.
