Columbia Road Flower Market

Columbia Road Flower Market, Columbia Road, Flower Market, Flowers, Market, Blogging, Blog A Book Etc, Fay, CrowdOn Sunday one of the markets that we were lucky enough to visit was the illustrious Columbia Road Flower Market. Now as we are down the road in Walthamstow there was no reason not to take a little (long!) wander to the flower market whilst meeting friends. It really was a perfect Sunday! Check out some of the pictures I managed to take whilst there. Bare in mind that it was extremely packed and you could barely get to the flowers you really wanted as due to high publicity this market gets crazy.

As it was such a beautiful day I figured that it would be a great opportunity to give this dress an outing. As it was quite cool in the shade this dress was perfect as the fabric is thick and warm when needed. The one thing that did cause me a bit of trouble was when the wind blew and the beautiful full skirt went up and showed everything. This is one day that I was glad for a full pair of pants!

From the beginning of the strip it was apparent that it was going to be a difficult walk as we meshed between the wanting bodies of other market goers it was like a touring party as we tried to stick together in a line. At times we were separated and lucky enough to get a quick glance at the beautiful buds on show. With arms and bouquets flying around the place it was hard to get an unobstructed shot.

The market had everything on offer for the green fingered among us. From bedding plants to orchids. The colours were vibrant and the smell was out of this world.

In the thick of the crowd this stall was rammed with people searching for their Sunday bunches. We managed to squeeze in and make a grab for our selection and it was just at the right time.

At one point it was much easier to get behind the stalls for a breather to walk without getting barged. Whilst struggling through I came across this gorgeous plant.

As we finally reached the end of the strip I came across a stall that wasn’t overpowered and had some truly beautiful flowers left on display. The three bunches here are just so patriotic that I couldn’t not take a picture. A true reflection of our countries colours and so bold at that.

After seeing so many tulips on offer this mix of colours were my absolute favourite and just seemed so cheerful then bunched together. This was the end of our walk along Columbia Road Flower Market and it was truly delightful. I couldn’t go without a comical photo for the trip so once again in my favourite dress I tried to fly!

I am hoping to return to the Flower Market in the next couple of weeks when I am next off from work.

To Do Tuesday

To Do, Tuesday, Lists, Organisation, To Do Tuesday

Whilst sitting in the pub garden with the hubby and some friends on Sunday we got to talking about making lists. My lists are made on a daily basis and I have notebooks coming out of my ears. Some people keep lists mentally and others have to write it down. I’m one of many that probably do both! I make a concrete list on paper and anything else added tends to wrack up on the side of it. Do you make a daily to do list?

Last Weeks List

– Comment on 10 new blogs

– Write two book reviews

– Edit pictures taken for blog posts over the next week

– Take part in one Twitter chat

This Weeks List

– Follows and Comments on Bloglovin’

– Take Part in a Twitter Chat
(This seems to be a recurring one for the list!)

– Edit pictures taken over the weekend

– Organise beauty products

– Finish Anna Karenina and The Cake Shop in the Garden

So what have you got on your to do list this week?

To Do Tuesday

To Do, Tuesday, Lists, Organisation, To Do TuesdayOnce again it is time to go through last weeks list and make one for the week ahead. Unfortunately I was unable to take part in #Bloggiesta so I have been trying to organise myself otherwise.
