Okay, so it is probably no surprise to you guys that I love food – especially the kind that I can take pictures of at the same time. When an invitation is extended to try out a new Christmas menu how could I not reply as soon as possible with a resounding YES! Trying to keep the squeals of delight at bay I drove to Kingston and made my way through the Christmas market towards Strada.
For many years Strada has been part of a chain however recently they went their separate way and walked the independent road. All of this is most certainly for the better as the menu, atmosphere and overall service is truly superb. So good in fact that I have already taken friends back with me in an attempt to single out my favourite dishes from the menu available before I take the Mr on a romantic date night (if we can find the time that is!). Strada have used their independence for the greater good whilst promoting fresh produce and top class customer service.
Christmas time, mistletoe & wine . . .
From Prosciutto to Panettone they have got you covered for your Christmas cuisine with friends, colleagues and loved ones. Of course they have covered all bases with regards to diet and there really is despite only having a succinct menu something for absolutely everyone. Even if you are not a vegetarian or gluten intolerant you will enjoy the options available to you. On the night we were lucky enough to try the entire menu and on my return I ordered my favourites just to confirm. Of course I captured a few vital moments between eats and listening to the amazing chef and manager of the Kingston branch as they talked us through the menu with what and why such choices were made.
For just £18.95 you can get 2 course and for a little extra at £21.95 you can have a full 3 course meal with a starter glass of prosecco. Strada also has a lovely children’s menu and if there is anything that your little’s like the look of from the regular menu some of it can be made up in a smaller portion size especially for them. Even though I don’t have children I think this is a nice touch as there is nothing worse than taking your little to a restaurant and the only thing available to them is fish fingers & fries or a mini pizza.
From start to finish this was a lovely experience and I cannot wait to have many more in the future.
#StradaBlogStars is the hashtag to see the fantastic feast we tried out.
A group of us were kindly invited to try out this delicious menu. All opinions and photographs are my own. A big festive thank you to the STRADA Kingston for hosting this delightful evening.
